Since November 2021, when the “Asia-Pacific Strategy” was launched, Link Automotive has successfully entered the markets of Kuwait, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Oman and other Middle Eastern countries, opening five Link Centres and two Link Spaces.
This time in Vietnam, Link Automotive said that this is not only a “first move” to seize the new market in Southeast Asia, but also a key step to speed up its “Asia-Pacific Strategy”. According to public data, the growth rate of Vietnam’s auto market ranks second in Southeast Asia, and in 2022, Vietnam achieved an annual sales volume of 600,000 vehicles with less than 30 vehicles per 1,000 people, and it is expected that in 2030, the sales volume will be more than 1 million vehicles.
It is reported that the shop layout of Link Space Hanoi is designed to be stylish and personalised, while incorporating elements of local Vietnamese culture, such as the flower waterfall art installation at the main entrance and a coffee table transformed from a Vietnamese drum.
In addition, Link’s shop in Ho Chi Minh City will open in January 2024. in 2024, Link will also accelerate its expansion into markets such as the Philippines and Central Asia, further enhancing the brand’s recognition and acceptance in the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition to the Southeast Asian market, Link has also been expanding its presence in other overseas regions in recent years, including the release of its “European Plan” in 2020. In April 2021, the Link 01 PHEV set sail from Shanghai to Zeebrugge, Belgium, fully commencing the “double cycle” and national vehicle recall mode at home and abroad.
In March 2022, Link announced its entry into the U.S. market with the launch of a new all-electric vehicle to replace the Link 01 plug-in hybrid compact SUV, which is expected to go on sale in 2024 and has been designed to comply with U.S. regulations; and at the end of 2022, Link’s 10th offline experience shop in Europe was opened in Milan, Italy.
