Alfa Romeo to Release New Stelvio SUV in 2025

According to foreign media reports, Alfa Romeo, an Italian high-end brand owned by Stellantis, said on March 8 that it will launch the new Stelvio SUV in the second half of next year, followed by the new Giulia sports sedan in 2026.

 

Under Stellantis, Alfa Romeo has undergone a transformation process and begun to realign its product range, with the goal of transforming into a fully electric brand by 2027.

 

Following the launch of the Tonale compact SUV in 2022, Alfa Romeo will launch the Milano sports compact model next month, which is also the brand’s first electric car.

Jean-Philippe Lmparato, CEO of Alfa Romeo, said: “The Giulia and Stelvio will become two genuine Italian gems exported around the world, thus confirming Alfa Romeo’s position as Stellantis’ global premium brand.

 

Alfa Romeo said in a statement that both the new Stelvio and Giulia will be designed in Italy and assembled at the Cassino plant between Rome and Naples. Both new models will use Stellantis. New “STLA” platform designed for large cars. Both models will be available in electric and hybrid versions.

 

 

The new Stelvio will be the first car from all of Stellantis’ European brands to be built on its “STLA Large” platform. It will also be the first Stellantis Group car to feature the “STERA Brain” electronics and software architecture and the STLASmartCockpit platform, which focuses on the digital integration of vehicle and driver.

 

Alfa Romeo will continue to produce existing internal combustion engine versions of the Stelvio and Giulia before bringing the new car to market.
