Aston Martin's First Hybrid Supercar Revealed, Limited to 999 Units

Text

According to media reports on December 24, the famous sports car manufacturer Aston Martin launched its first hybrid supercar, with a limited edition of 999 units sold worldwide.

It is reported that the car will be officially put into production in 2024 and will be equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and a three-motor power system for the first time.

In terms of appearance, the car still adopts a very exaggerated aerodynamic design, with oversized air intakes occupying almost the entire front of the car.

On the side, the car looks very different from the rest of Aston Martin’s range, with a much more combative design, and in addition to the aerodynamics all over the body, the car has roof-mounted air intakes that make it look like a fighter jet.

At the rear, the car features a very exaggeratedly shaped diffuser underneath, in addition to an oversized adjustable rear wing.

Aston Martin says it has completed hundreds of hours of aerodynamic testing in a wind tunnel with engineers from the Formula 1 team.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine from Mercedes-AMG, and provides power to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

It is paired with three electric motors, one of which sits in the gearbox, giving the Valhalla a combined output of 998bhp.
