European Electric Car Sales Increased 24% Year-On-Year in October

According to foreign media reports, the sales of electric vehicles in Europe in October once again achieved growth, and more than the overall car market rose, market share has also improved.

 

Data released by researcher Jose Pontes showed that in October, the number of European electric vehicle registrations was 260,324, up 24% year-on-year.n comparison, the overall European car market grew by 14% year-on-year in October.At the same time, the market share of electric vehicles in Europe reached 25% in October, compared with 23% in the same month last year.

 

Among them, Europe’s pure electric vehicle registrations in October amounted to about 169,000 units, up 36% year-on-year, with a market share of 16%; plug-in hybrid vehicle registrations in October amounted to about 91,000 units, up 5% year-on-year, with a market share of 9%.

As of the end of October, cumulative registrations of electric vehicles in Europe in 2023 amounted to 2,494,470 units, up 31% year-on-year, with a cumulative market share of 23%. Among them, the cumulative registrations of pure electric vehicles amounted to about 1.65 million units, with a market share of 16%; the cumulative registrations of plug-in hybrid vehicles amounted to about 820,000 units, with a market share of 7%.
