A few days ago, 12365 auto.com obtained a set of official pictures of the Ferrari 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano Special Edition from overseas media. The new car, in commemoration of the F2004 car that took both the first and second place in the 2004 F1 Hungarian Grand Prix, adopts exclusive commemorative paint, thus paying tribute to the greatest F1 car ever made by Ferrari. It is said that the car will be built by Ferrari Atelier and limited to five units.
In terms of appearance, the overall design of the Ferrari 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano Special Edition remains unchanged, adopting the same Raosso F1 three-layer red metallic paint as that of the Ferrari F2004, supplemented with Bianco King white paint on the front/rear surrounds, above the side skirts and the roof, and with the No.1 racing number pulling above the badge logo, which is a tribute to the legendary racing car. All of them are a tribute to the legendary car. The Ferrari F2004 not only won and finished second in the 2004 Hungarian Grand Prix, but also helped the Ferrari team win the team championship for six consecutive years. At the same time, it is also the seat of legendary driver Michael Schumacher.
Inside, the headrests of the racing seats are embroidered with the Hungarian circuit’s track map and flag colour scheme, and the carbon fibre welcome pedals have the words “Inspired by Ferrari F1 2004/Championship Winners in Hungaroring”. As a special edition, the car is also available with red 4-point seat belts with the Jaguar logo.
In terms of powertrain, the Ferrari 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano Special Edition will be powered by a combination of a 3.0T V6 turbocharged petrol engine + electric motor mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox and MGU-K Kinetic Energy Recovery System, with a combined maximum horsepower of 830Ps, a 0-100km/h acceleration of 2.9s, and a NEDC pure electric range of 25km. In addition, as the new car is based on Ferrari’s GT race specification, it has been fitted with Multimatic shock absorbers and a carbon fibre spoiler, which in turn provides a more extreme driving pleasure and handling experience.
