Stellantis is a step ahead of its competitors in the Indian market. Tesla has been trying to enter the Indian market for years, but had little success until this year. Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk is scheduled to visit India this month, and he is expected to discuss plans about investing $2 billion with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The aims of Tesla might be constructing a factory in India.

Tesla is not the only company interested in the Indian market. The long-time supplier of Tesla, the Panasonic Energy, is also discussing the possibility of building a joint venture with Indian Oil to produce batteries in India. The Japanese battery supplier will conduct a feasibility study in India to explore the range of potential applications of battery technology in the market.
