First, Tesla points out that its batteries are designed to last more than 200,000 miles, and that the loss of capacity is very limited after 200,000 miles of use.
Specifically, Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y batteries lost an average of just 15 percent of their capacity after 200,000 miles, while the Model S and Model X batteries lost an average of just 12 percent.
Tesla also emphasized that its cars are among the most efficient electric vehicles to date, requiring fewer recharges and producing fewer emissions per mile traveled.
Finally, Tesla mentions that the Model Y has a total cost of ownership of just $0.70 per mile, which includes depreciation, taxes, insurance, maintenance, tires and repairs, and fuel (electric or gasoline).
