He said, “We are welcoming the new year with the incredible news of providing our customers with more than 600,000 charging posts, a major achievement with a charging network that covers the whole of Europe. However, our commitment goes beyond quantity to ensure a high-quality charging experience to drive the growth of electric vehicles and the decarbonization of society as a whole.”

The Volkswagen Group’s new Selected Partner Network is one of its key initiatives to improve the quality of charging and enhance the charging experience for customers. The Selected Partner Network is a carefully selected group of premium charging point operator partners based on strict quality criteria. The network boasts the best charging points, high-performance charging infrastructure, on-site amenities (e.g., cafes, restaurants, sanitation facilities), and outstanding reliability.

In addition, Elli Drive Highway tariff customers are entitled to exclusive discounted rates. Currently, IONITY Europe, Aral Pulse, Audi charging centres in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Ewiva in Italy are part of Volkswagen’s select partner network.

Palazzo added: “As electric mobility continues to evolve, Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH will remain at the forefront of innovation and contribute to the creation of a stable and reliable charging and energy infrastructure throughout Europe.”
